Incubation Centre for Construction Technology in Buildings and Roads

• "The Incubation Centre for Construction Technology in Buildings and Roads (I.C.C.T.B.R.) was set up in the Department of Civil Engineering, I.I.T. Roorkee, Roorkee, in the year 2016 with a help of a Rs. 4 crore grant from the erstwhile Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. The mandate of the Centre is to provide technical support and evaluation services towards proof-of-concept testing, technology development, capacity building and main-streaming of innovative and novel technologies in the area of building and road construction. In addition to the well equipped laboratories of the Civil Engineering Department, I.I.T. Roorkee, which are available as adjunct infrastructure to the Centre, it is also equipped with specialized testing equipment like polarized light microscope, concrete and bitumen rheometer, close-loop control loading setup. A well-equipped work space is available in the Centre at the top floor of the Heavy Test Laboratory-2 of the Department. Academic and technical support is available from faculty of the Structural Engineering Group."
